Context
The Women Entrepreneur Awards (WEA) have been celebrating women entrepreneurs across the Indian Ocean since 2023. In 3 editions, the event grew from Mauritius to 7 territories. But this growth made manual management of applications, sponsors and invitations unsustainable.
Applications by email, evaluations on Google Docs, sponsors on Excel. With expansion to 7 countries and different regulatory requirements per territory, this manual workflow was falling apart. The team needed a custom platform to structure the entire process end-to-end, without relying on a patchwork of third-party tools.
